My dear love,
You are a tiny, fluffy finch,
fluttering against my chest,
wings so small, you could fly
through any net
I set to stop you.
My dear love,
You are a flower,
a sweet honeysuckle vine,
so sweet,
a spot of sun on a field of green,
and you twist,
and twist,
so sweet,
entangling me,
so sweet,
that I can no longer taste reason.
My dear love,
You are a stray puppy,
eyes huge and pleading,
padding by my side,
but you know I can’t keep you,
I’m sorry, don’t waste your time,
I can’t let you to stay.
My love,
Please go away.

I like how you started the first 2 stanzas the same way. My favorite line would be, "My love,/Please go away."
