Enough crackheads churning out
Enough goop thrown at the wall
Eventually something will stick
Nobody understands?
Tell them it can't be understood
Nobody follows you?
Tell them it can’t be followed
Nobody acts on it?
Tell them something vague enough
That they can’t not “obey”
Often “the truth seems paradoxical”
But falsehoods are inherently so
The tools of zealous fools
Ambiguous mumbling
Contradictory so to be cited
Flippity flops to whatever whims
Crudely emulating the profound
Only appeasing the pretentious
Useless: not fulfilling a purpose

I like how you use the monkeys on typewriters as a symbolic representation or metaphor of humans on our computers and devices. It's funny.
ReplyDeleteI like the strong vocabulary, it adds a lot of character to your poem
ReplyDeleteI like how your image ties into the poem. You did a good job using the call and repeat structure that is like the tao poems. I also like how you chose such a creative metaphor.
