The Tao parts like the red sea
showing the path, showing the way
The Tao is everything
Where it all began
It cannot be named,
For it is different for everyone
The Tao cannot be obtained
For it belongs to everyone
The Tao is a seesaw with people on both ends,
Even though one side may go up or down
There is still something on each end
To have a cup of coffee,
There must be a coffee cup
To have a working car,
There must be breaks to counteract the gas pedal
To have a new day,
There must first be night
To have light in a room,
There must first be darkness
To have yin
There must be yang

I really liked your repetition. I was able to visualize the Tau by reading the repetitive lines.
ReplyDeleteI like the analogies in the last paragraph where you strengthen the idea that everything needs balance.
