The balance is what ensures day in and out,
the combination of the light and the dark
is what proves we can be whole
It that has no real name
It that is the essence of everything
It that is the mother of the universe,
the origin of all things
The Tao is what it is referred to by most,
it’s what forms the balance between the yin and yang
The white and black
The male and female
Opposites in every way,
Yet interconnected throughout,
The Tao was the beginning
And it is the destruction of the Tao that will be the end
This is very well connected to the Tao Te Ching and uses a lot of clear symbolism!
ReplyDeleteThis poem is very similar to the poems that we read about the Tao in class. You did a good job of describing specific examples of opposites related to yin and yang and how they are interconnected.
ReplyDeleteI like the way that you describe the balance and interconnection of opposites, and how like like the male and female example and how they start from the same state.
